30 Posts in 30 Days

I am taking a month off from the field which means (which should mean) more time for writing.  Today, I am committing to averaging (and trying to stay on the rhythm of) one post per day.  To be honest to myself, I won't count this post, which I just intended to announce (to myself) my project.  I started this blog for two interrelated reasons: 1. to get into the habit of writing daily; 2. to get over the shame of writing, which is, essentially, the shame of sharing.  So, even though only four or five people read my blog in any given month, the fact that I press publish at the end of each post teaches me to accept that no writing is perfect.  But if I can share, then I can write.  I can write because I can manage my fear of what people think about my writing.

I also hope that I can return to some of the early topics I advertised at the beginning of the blog-writing process and perhaps fulfill some promises (even if no one remembers that I made them).  Up soon... VIP toilet paper.
